NeuroAffective Touch® (NATouch)

Trauma doesn’t just live in our thoughts—it lives in our bodies.

Early relational experiences leave imprints that shape our nervous systems, emotional patterns, and sense of connection. While talk therapy can offer valuable insights, some layers of trauma need a more embodied approach. NeuroAffective Touch® is a gentle, somatic method that bridges the gap between mind and body.

NeuroAffective Touch® is an integrative somatic and relational approach. By highlighting the primary role of the body; and its equal importance to the mind, this approach addresses emotional, relational, and developmental deficits that cannot be reached by verbal means alone.

A polyvagal-informed psychobiological approach, NATouch integrates the key elements of:

  • Somatic psychotherapy

  • Attachment and developmental theory

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy

  • Affective and interpersonal neurobiology

In practice, NATouch works with the body’s innate intelligence to support regulation, safety, and healing. Through attuned, non-invasive touch, we access the implicit memories and survival patterns held in the body, often rooted in early developmental or attachment trauma.

This approach isn’t about fixing or forcing change. It’s about inviting the nervous system into new experiences, where connection, self-compassion, and ease can emerge.

NATouch can support:

  • Shifting patterns of fear, shutdown, or dysregulation

  • Rebuilding a felt sense of safety in the body

  • Integrating early experiences that shaped emotional responses

  • Reawakening the body’s capacity for connection and aliveness

In my practice, I integrate NeuroAffective Touch with NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model)

My approach to touch practice is also influenced by my training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.

Together, these approaches create a deeply respectful, holistic space for healing, meeting you where you are, with tenderness and integrity.
